Retained for 6 years between January 2015-December 2020, Scala was engaged to provide strategic marketing consultancy services to the newly formed Executive Management Board, as well as acting as Chambers’ outsourced marketing department. Prior to Scala’s appointment Chambers had no formal marketing team to manage and undertake work.
The Brief
- Member of the Executive Management Board at Chambers to support strategic thinking and shape Marketing and Business Development activity.
- Worked alongside Practice Directors, Team Heads and individual barristers to understand the business objectives to inform the teams’ marketing strategy and activities.
- Oversaw the development and launch of a new bespoke website with enhanced functionality such as password protected client areas to access seminar/conference material, online Barrister Brochure Builder and barrister log-in area to enable barristers to update their own website profiles.
- Copywriting: website articles and news, award entries, Directory submissions, Bios, Marketing literature, Conference/Events programmes, media releases, newsletters (internal and external), Board and team marketing reports and contributions towards tender documents.
- PR: media releases and media liaison, coverage in industry publications and advertising
- Social Media management: Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and Facebook
- Event/Conference/Seminar/Webinar Management: including negotiating contracts, securing and managing external speakers and barristers, managing conference stands and representing Chambers at client facing events.
- Networking: using our industry connections to promote Chambers and its members.
- Training: Business Development and Marketing training for Pupils; one-to-one marketing coaching for barristers.
