FRCConnect is a sub-brand of Kain Knight, a leading firm of costs lawyers. FRCConnect is an interactive, community driven platform, and unique purpose-built FR Calculator to assist personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers navigate the choppy waters created by the introduction of Fixed Recoverable Costs.

Brief

When the FRC draft Rules and Practice Directions were released in early 2023 the ambiguities and lack of clarity were overwhelming. It was obvious the legal profession would be overwhelmed with uncertainty and satellite litigation would increase considerably. With these concerns very much in mind, Scala supported Kain Knight in developing and launching a product and service that would help injury lawyers to navigate the changes that will significantly impact on how they run their cases. Scala delivered a complete package of supporting, including: project management, brand and website development, marketing strategy, social media management, and PR.

What we did

Brand development –designed a full branding package of graphics, colour palette, logotype design development, and typographical design and development.
Website development –designed, built and launched the FRCConnect website through integrating community/ forums, an interactive calculator tool, webinar hosting service, creation of two bespoke CMS; x1 for the website and x1 for the community/ forum, and full social media integration.
Marketing strategy – including creating the marketing messaging for FRCConnect; building a community of registered users for the site; input on topics and speakers for the weekly podcast in light of market ‘chatter’ around FRCConnect; and positioning FRCConnect as the market leaders for advice on managing Fixed Recoverable Costs
Social media management – Strategy document produced monthly for the upcoming month, scheduling and programming of all posts, images, and input from the client, and monitoring and analysis of posts to create document showing ROI.
PR – Determining PR angles to promote the business, drafting and circulation of media releases, award submissions, gathering coverage secured, and analysis of RO
