Scala was appointed in 2017 to undertake a one-off project to review the marketing function of Chambers and report to the management team with findings and recommendations. We worked in-house to deliver this project.
The Brief
- Worked alongside the Chambers Director, Practice Clerks, and Team Heads to understand their client base, business strategy, core values, and expertise.
- Interviewed Practice Clerks and Marketing Personnel to explore current marketing activities and their effectiveness.
- Reviewed all online marketing activities
- Reviewed the internal marketing processes and personnel
- Reviewed the marketing and business development activities and their effectiveness
- Advised on best practice for managing the marketing and business development processes internally
- Produced a Marketing Recommendations report and plan
- Advised on the personnel needed to implement chambers marketing plan
- Considered and advised on marketing spend
Outcome
Prepared a Marketing Review and Plan Report that was presented to the Head of Chambers and Heads of Team. This covered:
- Roles and responsibilities – recommended the appointment of additional Marketing expertise and helped to interview candidates for the role.
- Online marketing strategy – social media and website
- Advice on how to utilise PR as a marketing tool
- Advice on marketing budget
- Advice on managing marketing matters at team and Chambers level
