Scala Attends the AvMA 35th Annual Clinical Negligence Conference 2025

Scala was thrilled to attend the AvMA 35th Annual Clinical Negligence Conference (ACNC) in Bournemouth, which took place on 20th-21st March 2025

The event brought together some of the best medical and legal professionals in clinical negligence and medical law, with a particular focus on cancer and oncology, alongside other critical topics in the field.

Over the two-day conference, we enjoyed reconnecting with clients, colleagues, and friends within the industry. Several of our clients, including Steven Docker Associates, Trust Mediation, and Kain Knight were also exhibiting at the event.

The conference also featured presentations from two of McCollum Consultants' expert witnesses, Miss Rashmi Verma and Mr Sreekumar Sundara Rajan. They delivered a thought-provoking Plenary Address on Breast Cancer Surgery, exploring key medico-legal aspects such as consent, the role of imaging, sentinel lymph node biopsies, and the complexities of negligent vs. non-negligent surgery.
