Rebmark Legal Solutions Ltd was formed in 2007 by brother and sister team Mark Hewitt and Rebecca Andersen, and originally launched with one product, piCalculator. Since then Rebmark has expanded its business and portfolio of software programmes to include noiseCalculator, noiseAssist, caseAssist, Consensus and reserveCalculator, as well as a number of bespoke software solutions commissioned by a range of leading law firms and insurers.
Managing Director, Mark Hewitt said, “Our software is used by everyone working in the claims sector, including claimant and defendant lawyers, insurance companies, claims handlers and barristers. The legal field is a fast-paced one, and our mission is not to simply keep abreast of developments, but to involve ourselves in thought-leadership discussions on the future of the sector and how technology can be applied. That’s one of the reasons we felt the time was right to re-think our brand positioning.”
piCalculator continues to be the most popular of Remark’s software products. It has won multiple awards from both within and outside the legal sector. With over 2000 subscribers, piCalculator assists personal injury and clinical negligence lawyers and claims handlers in preparing schedules of loss. The software handles all the mathematical calculations, allowing lawyers to focus on the law. It is particularly useful in high value, complex injury claims where calculations can be very time consuming and there is greater potential for error.
